LEOSA SKILL BUILDER

LEOSA Skill Builder is for LE’s, Correction Officers, Former Military and Professional Armed Security.  It intended for professionals who have been trained how to draw from the holster, conduct magazine changes, hit multiple targets all under the use of a shot timer.  This is not a beginner course.

This course focuses on the essential fundamentals that are necessary for carrying a firearm in day to day situations. The course was designed to increase individual confidence and the ability to safely handle a firearm.

In this class you will learn:

• A review of the fundamentals of grip, stance, drawing from holster and mag changes.
• The difference in holsters and carry gear.
• Speed and target acquisition while engaging multiple targets.
• How to handle weapon malfunctions.

This class is designed to advance you to the next level of shooting. You will use the fundamentals that you learned in the police academy or other intermediate/advanced training. This course introduces students to the latest developments in firearms training. We use the most modern methods of instruction and current drills to reach this goal.

The course is approximately 4 hours long.

Equipment List

• Pistol, (semi-auto center fire pistols only – revolvers or .22 caliber pistols are not allowed)
• Dominant side, hip-mounted holster or dominant side, belt-mounted holster
• Magazine pouch
• 3 magazines
• Sturdy belt at least 1.5″ wide
• Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
• Recommend electronic hearing protection or earmuffs and earplugs
• AMMO estimated 200 rounds
