Class Registration

All courses are taught at the Mansfield Fish and Game located at 510 East Street, Mansfield, MA. All morning courses begin at 9:00 a.m. Afternoon courses begin at 2:00 p.m. Students are encouraged at least 15 minutes early.

All shooting takes place at the “Instructor Range”.  It is an outdoor range, students are required to wear sturdy footwear (no open toe shoes, sandals of any kind.) we conduct classes twelve months of the year, rain or shine. It is recommended that students dress for success! Feel free to bring water or snacks.

We provide eye and ear protection. Students are encouraged to purchase their own as you will most likely be shooting again at a later date. Firearms and ammo are provided for free for the LTC class and the Skill Builder courses.

Generally speaking, FTS runs two types of course:

• Basic Firearms safety Course for students interested in obtaining their License to Carry.
• The rest of the courses are for students who have already taken an LTC course. Those courses range from beginner Skill Builder courses up to advanced courses.

Whatever class you are attending, all students meet and greet in the classroom. Attendance is taken followed by introductions. ALL STUDENTS ARE TAUGHT THE SAFETY RULES. It doesn’t matter what level of shooter, the background or the experience, every student goes through the same Safety Brief.
